Gather your favourite people this February and join us in our candlelit wine cellar at THE PIG-in the South Downs, for a hands-on workshop creating dried flower crowns with our friends at Wildstone Floral, that will last for years to come.

We’ll warmly welcome you in with a glass of perfectly chilled English fizz, before your host Leanne – founder at Wildstone Floral – will show you how to create your floral crown using locally grown flowers and sustainable resources.

You don’t need any floristry experience and there will be plenty of time to ask questions along the way as you get to making your floral headpiece. As you add the final touches, you’ll even get a custom gift box to store your finished flower crown in and take it home safely!

After the workshop, you’ll head into The Garden Room, our private dining space just off the main restaurant, to enjoy some Piggy Bits before tucking into a two-course supper with generous pours of our very own PIG Cut Wine – all included with your ticket!

When & Where?

Wednesday 11th February at 6pm – 10pm at THE PIG-in the South Downs

How much?

£105 per person

What's included?

You'll be welcomed in with a perfectly chilled glass of English fizz (with a top-up of course!), and all the materials you need to create your dried floral crown – including locally grown flowers from Surrey and Sussex.

You’ll get a custom gift box to take your flower crown home in and, after you’ve finished the final touches, we’ll take you into our cosy Garden Room overlooking our very own vineyard, where you’ll get to tuck into Piggy Bits and a two-course seasonal Set Menu with generous pours of our very own PIG Cut Wine - all included in the price of your ticket!

This dinner is a relaxed, sociable supper, gathered around one big table – if you’ve booked with friends, just give us a shout so we can make sure you’re all sitting together. Everything will be prepped ahead of your arrival, right down to the name cards on the table.

Fancy making a night of it?

Why not extend the trip and turn the evening into a little getaway by booking a room for the night? Wander from the workshop to a big comfy bed with no need for taxis or designated drivers. Just you, a bedroom so comfy you won't want to leave, and maybe a cheeky nightcap (or two!).

Meet your hosts...

Wildstone Floral was founded by Leanne Smith in 2021. Leanne creates richly textural designs which are sculptural, elegant and naturalistic – and she has created floral designs at RHS Chelsea since 2022. Her clients include Jo Malone, Alitex, The National Trust and English Heritage.

Leanne uses as many locally grown materials as the seasons and circumstances allow and she aims to work with materials that can be dried after use, to maximise their longevity.

She works almost exclusively with British-grown materials from late May until early September. Leanne loves working with the bounty produced at the height of the British summer and has established strong connections with many growers in Surrey and Sussex, giving her access to a wide variety of exceptional flowers. She also sources materials through respectful foraging, seeking permission where necessary.

All of Leanne’s designs are foam-free and she uses sustainable mechanics such as chicken wire, pin frogs, willow, and twine to make her creations.
